Course Overview: Let's Begin

This is the starting point. I'll set expectations, review the course and explain how to navigate this class. 

Week 1: Common Pitfalls

We'll go over some common pitfalls (and how we're complicit) when it comes to family dynamics. 

Week 2: Boundaries: What they are and how to set them

6 Lessons

We all may know that boundaries are important, but what are they? How do you get to know what your boundaries are? We'll talk about how boundaries are different from walls, how to get to know what yours are and how boundaries can make everyone's lives better. 

Week 3: Communication Station

5 Lessons

This week we'll focus on preparing yourself for a boundary-setting conversation as well as the Compassionate Honesty spectrum of communication. We'll follow up with the Golden Triangle of Communication: asking, listening & informing.

Week 4: Having Difficult Conversations

5 Lessons

In this module, we'll walk through how to prepare for a difficult conversation, minefields to watch for during a difficult conversation and what to do afterwards

Week 5: Dealing with What Is

8 Lessons

Change is not always easy, but it is always worth it. 

This module focuses on how to deal with the new reality that just is. We go into understanding anger, forgiveness and what 'fits' in our lives.

Week 6: Self-Care Strategies

8 Lessons

Self-care isn't about massages and pedicures. It's about how to take care of yourself in the grittiest of situations. This module talks about what to do when the anxiety is high and the going gets tough.

Live Calls

7 Lessons

Each week we will have a live call on zoom. During these calls, we'll talk about any questions that came up, talk about the concepts and do some group coaching.
